How to Add Texture to Your Design in Canva: Easy Way

Creating a creative design, we know that if we add a texture to the design, the design looks more creative and more attractive. Adding a texture to your design is super simple in Canva. We just need two minutes to do. Also, we didn’t need to find any kind of texture images for this trick. Let’s dive in and learn how to add a texture to your design in Canva.

First, I will show you how to add a texture to your image with Pro Plan, and then I will show you how to do it with the free plan, so first, read this for better understanding.

• Open your image or design where you want to add the texture. on it.
• Select that image, and with it selected, open your app section and search for “Texture” created by cornerstore-design.
• Now open the app (for recognition, see the image below).
• Here, you can see it has a massive texture library with different types of categories and textures.
• Here, step 1 is complete.

Now we learn how to apply the texture to the image.

• Note: First, if you don’t select the image, select the image first, and then all the textures will appear perfectly.
• Now, here you can scroll and find your perfect texture, or you can search for the texture at the top.
• After you find your texture, select that texture, and after that, you can jump to the texture editing part.

• Here you can see the live changes to how the textured image looks with these four options.
• 1. Blend Mode: Here, you have a total of 16 different types of blending modes for getting your perfect matching blend.
• 2. Scale: The scaling option is for scaling the texture size.
• 3. Rotation: With the rotation option, you can rotate your texture.
• 4. Opacity: The opacity is a very important option for texturing your image. That option gives you the freedom to choose how much opacity you need.
• Play with these 4 options, and after you finalize your texture, hit the “Save” option, and your image will be textured.

• This previous method is for the pro plan user, but the free plan user can also texture their image, too.
• For free plan users, we need a texture first.
• You can use the “Canva elements” or an online free platforms.
• After that, import your texture into the design.
• Now go to the apps and search “Blend image Created by Qutesoft. (To recognize the app, see the image below.)
• Now open the app, and here you have some options.
• Now select the image that you want to add the texture and set it to the bottom layer.
• And for the top layer, select the texture image.
• Now select the blending mode, and you can see the preview below.
• Also, you have some options like scale, offset, and rotation for better customization.
• After your effects are done in preview mode, hit “Add to design,” and the image is automatically added to your design.
• Now, remove the main image and expand your textured image, and now your image has a texture.
