You know how to add background music perfectly into your presentation. Here is the step-by-step guide.


Import background music

  1. Go to the Upper ribbon and find the ‘insert’ option and select it.
  2. Find the ‘audio’ option in the insert section (different types of PowerPoint versions have different types of element places)
  3. Click it, and here are two types of sections: 1. Audio on my computer, and 2.Record audio.
  4. If you want to record some audio! So you can with this second option, but if you want to add premade music, then select the first option.
  5. After that, select your audio from your local computer, and press ok so your music is added to your presentation. (an audio icon is aper)

Adding background music

These first 5 steps are used for importing background music from your computer, But The process is not done. Some settings still need to be done for a better experience.

  1. Click the Audio icon and in the Upper ribbon icon, you find two new options: 1. Audio format, 2.Playback.
    • Audio Format: An audio format is used for changing the Design of audio icons, like correcting the color, changing the color, Adjust the artistic effects, adding a border, resizing, and much more. Basically, it changes the icon Deasine but does not change or edit any audio Option.
    • Playback: A playback option can edit audio. It can set the audio to play automatically, make the audio play across Multiple slides, loop the audio, hide the audio icon, trim the audio, and much more. Basically, it changes to edit your audio and adjust to play across multiple slides.
  2. Click the Playback option, and here is a bunch of options available in the toolbar! Find the audio style option.
  3. In the audio style option, select the ‘Play in background’ option, and select (PowerPoint gives a premade style option, so the user can not worry about this problem)
  4. After you click the icon, you see some changes in the audio option.
    • Start: Automatically
    • ✅Play acrossslides
    • ✅Loop until stopped
    • ✅Hide during show
  5. These 4 options are changes, and now, if you want to trim the audio according to your needs. You can use the trim tool in the same toolbar! It’s easy to trim. And you can also customize the option according to your needs.

(Note: Check the ‘Hide during show’ option! That’s hiding an Audio icon when your presentation goes live.)
